Roxanne Lip Sync Task

We were told to go out with a camera and record us lip syncing a song we were given. We were given Roxanne, by the Police which i think was pretty hard. This is because while not as lyrically challenging as, say, Dizzee Rascal, it was a really dull song. With the rap song, you could jump around and do the whole 'rap hand' thing. You look like an idiot, but it makes the video a bit more enjoyable. With ours it was really slow and boring, so we had to try and do something to make it interesting. Pretty much all you could do to that video was slowly sway backwards and forwards, because too much movement would be out of place, and nothing was just boring.

It was also hard because it was one of the few songs choices that i didn't know the words to so i wasn't really sure about it. When we were recording it, we needed the 'singer' to be able to hear the music, but the camera also had to hear it, but when i had to record, i couldn't hear whan the music was going so i was a bit out of time hat it came to editing. Which is partly why i have removed the footage of me from the video. All four of us were filmed 'singing' and then we did a group film, but i didn't use much of that either because i don't think it looks as good as some of the other footage we have.

In order to keep it in sync, i used 4/5 different levels. Whatever piece of footage is at the top of the pile is the piece that is being shown, So if you want something on a lower level you simply cut away whatever is above it and it will show that clip.
